About me

My Experience

As a University professor, my laboratory conducted biomedical research for over 20 years to understand the mind-body connections. Work from my group and others demonstrated the profound impact psychological and emotional states - like stress - have on our health as well as our well-being.

I was recruited to the National Institutes of Health to take a leadership role on these and other wellness areas in behavioral health, women ‘s health, and health equity.

My coaching practice is influenced by my experiences and skills in leadership and change management, and what we know about emotions that can impact our health.

Many of my research publications can be found here.

My Coaching Practice

I believe we are all resourceful and whole, and in my coaching practice we will work together to discover how you can uncover those resources and joy in the midst of challenge. As you contemplate or are faced with challenges in relationships, your family, your career, or your health, our work together will discover your passions and unique strengths.

I obtained my coaching training at the American University and am credentialed by the International Coaching Federation. I have experience working with individuals, small organizations, and large government and institutional systems.
